Notification of Opportunity

GGOS Coordination Office

On or about March 31, 2008, the Global Geodetic Observing System (GGOS)
will issue a Call for Proposals to operate its Coordination Office (CO). 
The preliminary list of tasks of the CO for the daily coordination and
management of GGOS activities includes communications and information
transfer among the GGOS entities; maintaining documentation, address
lists, and data bases; preparation and documentation of meetings;
maintaining the GGOS website; and handling routine GGOS correspondence. 
The Office will maintain an overview of internal and external GGOS
users, support GGOS outreach activities, and support the GGOS Working
Group on GEO.

Several organizations may cooperate in this activity, but one
organization must be identified as the lead. Proposers must provide
their own financial resources in carrying out their proposed duties.
The proposal should clearly address the services and capabilities being
offered by the institution (or institutions), its (their) financial
ability to carry them out, and appropriate points of contact.
