************************************************************************ IERS Message No. 187 March 29, 2011 ************************************************************************ Job Vacancy at DGFI Within a project funded by the International Bureau of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research the Deutsches Geodaetisches Forschungsinstitut (DGFI) invites applications for a position of a Project scientist (f/m). The aim of the project is the implementation of Analysis Centers for the processing of space-geodetic observations of Satellite-Laser-Ranging (SLR), Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI), and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) in Chile. The tasks will be predominantly carried out at DGFI in Munich and will be transferred to Chile with Chilean partners. The applicant should hold a university degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in a mathematics or natural sciences discipline (e.g. geodesy, geophysics) and should have substantial interest in geodetic reference frames, programming, data analysis, and the willingness to cooperate internationally. A solid knowledge of the English language is essential. The full time position is to be filled as soon as possible. Salary conforms to TV-L (west) E13 (about 3100 Euro, depending on qualifications). The project duration is limited to December 31, 2012.
