************************************************************************ IERS Message No. 189 April 27, 2011 ************************************************************************ SX5 Workshop Announcement Dear Sir/Madam: SX5 is a research project related to precise positioning with the European global satellite navigation system Galileo for scientific purposes. The "SX5 Workshop" will take place in October this year in Munich, Germany. Further information can be accessed online via this link: http://ifen.bauv.unibw.de/sx5/workshop.html The workshop will give you the opportunity to get an overview of the SX5 idea and the latest news regarding GNSS developments, with a focus on the Galileo and Compass system. Furthermore there will be an introduction and a demonstration of the SGSS Software Suite as well as the presentation of first results containing single-frequency precise positioning and ionosphere monitoring. Additionally you will have the opportunity to visit the Galileo test bed (GATE) in Berchtesgaden as an optional social event. Note that this workshop is free of charge (except for the voluntary GATE visit).
