************************************************************************ IERS Message No. 201 January 23, 2012 ************************************************************************ Geodesy sessions at AOGS, Singapore, 13-17 August 2012 Dear colleagues, This year, a special joint assembly will be held by the Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS) and the American Geophysical Union (AGU) in Singapore, 13-17 August 2012. Web site: http://www.asiaoceania.org/aogs2012 In order to increase the contributions from geodesy at the AOGS assemblies and to support our Asian/Oceanic colleagues the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) Bureau has planned and coordinated in advance a comprehensive program of scientific sessions on geodetic topics, covering all 4 IAG Commissions as well as GGOS, the Global Geodetic Observing System of the IAG, and all its international Services. This ended up in 8 sessions within the Solid Earth (SE) Section and 2 Interdisciplinary Working Groups (IWG), see below. Please, take a look on the session topics and consider your participation. Deadline for submitting abstracts is March 12. Hope to see many of you at the AOGS / AGU joint assembly - I am sure it will be a very interesting program worth travelling to Singapore. Best regards Harald Schuh (IAG Vice-President) PS. Please, forward this announcement to interested colleagues.
