************************************************************************ IERS Message No. 224 February 11, 2013 ************************************************************************ VIII Hotine Marussi Symposium - Session on Multi-Sensor Space Geodesy Dear colleagues, The next Hotine Marussi Symposium organized by IAG's Inter-Commission Committee on Theory (ICCT) will be taking place in Rome, Italy, from June 17-21, 2013. We would like to draw your attention to the Session "MULTI-SENSOR SPACE GEODESY FOR EARTH SYSTEM SCIENCE" and call for contributions. In particular, the convenors solicit contributions to this session that are related to the following topics: - determination of highly precise and long-term stable static and time-variable geodetic parameters for Earth system science from heterogeneous geodetic observation techniques in the sense of GGOS - multi-sensor/multi-scale approaches for the assessment of geophysical processes and interactions in the Earth system - inversion strategies for the common integration of geometrical and gravimetrical space observations (e.g. VLBI, SLR, DORIS, GNSS, Altimetry and gravity field missions) into Earth system models/models of geopysical fluids - strategies for the separation of integral observations of Earth rotation, gravity field, and surface geometry into contributions from individual components of the Earth system using multi-sensor approaches. - theoretical and numerical studies on relations and interactions of Earth rotation, gravity field, and surface geometry More information on this session as well as on details concerning abstract submission and registration can be found on the following web site: http://w3.dicea.uniroma1.it/hotine-marussi-2013/ Abstracts for oral and poster presentations can be submitted until February 28, 2013 via the conference website. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Rome! With best regards, Florian Seitz and Shuanggen Jin - Conveners ************************************************************************ IERS Messages are edited and distributed by the IERS Central Bureau.
