************************************************************************ IERS Message No. 229 May 16, 2013 ************************************************************************ Journees 2013 - Second Announcement Dear Colleagues, This is to inform you that registration, abstract submission and online payment are available on the web site of the Journees 2013 "Systemes de reference spatio-temporels" that will be organized in Paris (France), from 16 to 18 September 2013 (Monday to Wednesday), with the sub-title "Scientific developments from highly accurate space-time reference systems". See http://syrte.obspm.fr/jsr/journees2013 . These Journees are co-sponsored by the IAU and IAG. The scientific programme will include the following sessions: Session 1 - Theoretical aspects of reference systems Session 2 - The Next ICRF - Progress and developments Session 3 - Atomic and pulsar-based timescales - Progress and developments Session 4 - Earth Rotation - Theory, modelling and observations Session 5 - Solar System Dynamics - Theory, modelling and numerical standards A preliminary list of invited papers is given on the Journees 2013 web site. In addition, oral and poster presentations on the above topics are welcome. Note that the deadline is 10 July 2013 for abstract submission and 26 August 2013 for early registration. A few tutorial sessions (free of charges) will be organized on key topics of the Journees, on Sunday 15 September afternoon, if there is a sufficient number of participants interested in such sessions. Participants are asked to mention their interest on the online registration page. The Journeees 2013 web site also provides useful information on the venue, instructions for speakers and poster presenters, accommodation, possibilities of travel grants, etc. Apologies if you receive multiple copies of this announcement.
