************************************************************************ IERS Message No. 230 May 23, 2013 ************************************************************************ VieVS User Workshop 2013 Dear colleagues, The Vienna VLBI Software VieVS has been developed by the VLBI group at the Vienna University of Technology since 2008. VieVS is designed for the analysis of geodetic VLBI observation data as well as for scheduling and simulation of different VLBI sessions. The software incorporates the latest IERS Conventions and uses the concept of continuous piecewise linear offsets at integer hours for the parameter setup, consistent with the terms of reference of the GGOS. The current version, 2.1, which was released in May 2013, aggregates all modules (i.e. data setup, least squares adjustment, global solution, scheduling, simulation, etc.) within one common graphical user interface. The interface also offers additional tools to plot estimated parameters, residuals, the session network, correlation matrices and baseline length repeatabilities. The 4th VieVS User Workshop will be held in Vienna from September 9 to 10, 2013, starting on Monday, Sept. 9th, 9:00 a.m. The program will consist of presentations and practical exercises, similar to last year's workshop, http://vievs.hg.tuwien.ac.at/ws2012/ . Computers for the practical part will be provided for the participants, but you can also bring your own notebook with Matlab, if you prefer. The workshop participation is free of charge. Please register before end of July 2013 by e-mail to admin@vievs.hg.tuwien.ac.at. The Vienna VLBI group is looking forward to seeing you in September! Best regards, Sigrid Boehm ************************************************************************ IERS Messages are edited and distributed by the IERS Central Bureau.
