************************************************************************ IERS Message No. 257 July 31, 2014 ************************************************************************ Journees 2014 - Second Announcement Dear Colleagues, We would like to remind you that the Journees 2014 "Systemes de reference spatio-temporels", with the sub-title "Recent developments and prospects in ground-based and space astrometry", will be held at Pulkovo Observatory, St. Petersburg, Russia, from 22 to 24 September 2014. They will be the 23rd meeting in this series of international meetings. The Journees 2014 are sponsored by Pulkovo Observatory, Russian Academy of Sciences, Paris Observatory/SYRTE and are included in the program of celebrating the 175th anniversary of Pulkovo Observatory. They are co-sponsored by the International Astronomical Union and the International Association of Geodesy. The scientific programme includes sessions on: - Celestial reference system and frame - Relativity and time scales - Solar and extrasolar systems dynamics - Earth's rotation and geodynamics - Astronomical almanacs and software as well as a sub-session on the "IAU/IAG Joint Working Group on Theory of Earth Rotation". In addition, there will be special discussions related to the IAU Division A working groups.
