************************************************************************ IERS Message No. 337 July 27, 2017 ************************************************************************ Journees 2017: 1 week left for abstract submission and early registration This is to remind you that the abstract submission to the "Journees 2017, des Systemes de Reference et de la Rotation Terrestre", subtitled "Furthering our knowledge of Earth Rotation" (https://web.ua.es/journees2017/), is still open and will close on August 3rd. Reduced registration fee will be kept till the same date. Currently, a varied set of confirmed, interesting presentations solicited by the SOC is displayed on the "programme" tab (https://web.ua.es/journees2017/programme.html) after the names of the sessions in which the meeting topics have been grouped. The contributed abstracts are already available on-line. Further information and links for pre-registration (prior to submission) and submission are available at https://web.ua.es/journees2017/information.html . On behalf of the SOC, I encourage you to participate in the Journees and attend the communications and discussions. Submissions behind the said date could be accepted in special cases, since summer time is a period of meetings and vacations and we understand people may have difficulties to meet deadlines. However, I have to require for the organizational sake that a copy of any abstract submitted after August 3rd be emailed to myself (jm.ferrandiz@ua.es) to ensure a proper arrival to the SOC. Starting with August 4th the whole registration will be applicable in any case. Hope to see you in Alicante! Best regards Jose Manuel Ferrandiz (Co-chair of the SOC) ************************************************************************ IERS Messages are edited and distributed by the IERS Central Bureau.
